Kim “Skipper” Corbin created iSkip.com in May of 1999 and has been skipping every since.
It breaks her heart that the majority of people in “the land of the free and the home of the brave” can’t let go of
worrying about what others might think of them enough to skip joyfully down the street. So she’s dedicated her life to helping rewrite the unspoken rule that says “adults don’t skip.”
She has skipped on the mountaintop of an amazing amount of national media exposure and through the valley of shattered dreams and financial ruin…She is currently a Senior Book Publicist at an amazing publishing company called New World Library and is scaling the wall of writing her own book. What a long strange skip it continues to be.
In recent years, Corbin’s skipping has become a lot more sacred and less public. She says, “I’m not sure what comes next for the “skipping movement” but I still love to imagine how the world would change if
every town in the world had even one inspired skipper…Someone who skips with the clear intention of doing their part to make the world a little bit happier.”
Corbin is a lover of freedom who believes that she must be the change she hopes to see. She wants to live in a world that is more joyful, accepting, and positive…where dreams really do come true. That is the spirit with which this website is created.
She would love to support your skipping ideas / events / projects in whatever way she can.
