Skippy Dee Doo Dah Organizer Angela Schermerhorn

Florida based skipper Angela Schermerhorn is our newest inductee into iSkip.com’s Skipping Hall of Fame, which celebrates  notable accomplishments of passionate skippers across the globe!

Angela skips for those who skipped a happy childhood via the Skippy Dee Do Dah event she organizes in South Florida every year to raise funds on behalf of survivors of child sex trafficking.

Kim ‘Skipper’ Corbin recently had the chance to sit down with Angela just prior to her 4th annual event on 10/24/23 to learn more about the event and the inspiration behind it.  We hope you’ll enjoy the conversation:

Here’s Angela’s story:  “One night while I was skipping and humming the old Disney movie tune “zippity do da” and connecting with God.  As I approached a stop sign, I received a clear download, “Think about all the suffering trafficked children that SKIPPED a happy childhood. I want you to SKIP for those that SKIPPED an innocent childhood,” and SkippyDeeDooDah was born!”
