Skipping in the New York Times!

Start spreading the news! The New York Times is skipping today!

An article called “Is Skipping Really a Good Workout?” that was published on March 28, 2025, shares the undeniable physical fitness benefits of skipping.

Here’s our favorite quote from the article…

“When kids skip, it rarely looks like work. There’s something playful, almost primitive, about the urge to bound yourself forward through space, your body briefly levitating with each stride. And yet, as adults, many of us quit. . . If you haven’t skipped in a while, see how it feels to move the way you might have moved as a child.”

The article was inspired by elite Track & Field trainer at Altis CEO Stuart McMillan‘s recent appearance on the Huberman Lab podcast, which explored how skipping improves mobility, plyometric force generation, running speed, cardiovascular health, endurance, balance, and more!

iSkip.com recently caught up with McMillian to ask for his best advice for incorporating skipping into our workouts and he suggested repeating a simple interval requence: walk for 20 seconds, skip for 20 seconds, jog for 20 seconds, and repeat, as a good way to skip things off!

As skipping continues gains popularity, it’s fun to see the rest of the world beginning to recognize what we’ve been celebrating for over 25 years! Yahoo. SKIP ON!
